Meet Akilah Harris
Akilah is originally from Brooklyn, New York and now resides in South Florida. Prior to law school, Akilah attended Florida Atlantic University and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and a Certificate in Women’s Studies in 2006.
Akilah received her business and management training while working in the payment processing field. She was employed at a privately owned company since July of 2003, where she worked her way up to Director, all while furthering her education as a full time student. That is what makes Family Law the perfect field for her to practice in.

Experience
After a career in corporate payment processing, she later attended Nova Southeastern University, earning her Juris Doctor in 2012, and was sworn into The Florida Bar in September 2013.
Family Law
Since that time, she has built a career focused primarily on marital and family law litigation, guiding clients through some of life’s most complex and emotionally charged legal challenges involving substantial assets, intricate financial structures, and sensitive personal considerations.
Advocate for Children
A dedicated advocate for children, Ms. Harris also serves as a Qualified Guardian ad Litem since 2013, ensuring that children’s voices and best interests remain at the forefront of the legal process.
Personal Life
She is married and the proud parent of three children in a blended family, an experience that deepens her understanding of the personal dimensions underlying even the most complex legal disputes.
